2009 Calendar of Events - Georgia Art League

March 10 - May 18 - Peach State Bank Exhibition. This exhibition showcases 30 pieces of artwork from 19 Georgia Art League artists. Third floor, Peach State Bank, Gainesville, GA.

March 19 through April 21 submission dates for April in Paris Exhibition at Peachtree Plantation, an assisted living facility in Oakwood. The exhibition will hang April 24 - May 4. No entry fee, no commission on sales. The artists and their guests are invited to attend the April in Paris Vine and Cheese Reception on April 24 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. May 4 - Quinlan Summer Juried Exhibition - Local Color - deadline for submissions (extended from April 27 to May 4).

May 18 - Quinlan GAL Juried Show artwork removal. Pick up your artwork from the Quinlan between 10:00 and 5:00. There will be no exhibitions or meetings at the Quinlan during the summer months due to the Children's Summer Programs.

May 18 - Peach State Bank artwork removal and artwork submission for GAL Summer Juried Show. NOTE: Our Summer GAL Juried Show will hang at Peach State Bank May 18 through August 17. $10 entry fee to submit 1 to 3 pieces of artwork. Submit your work from 10:00 to 2:00 on the third floor of Peach State Bank. The show will be judged that day and awards presented at our May 21 meeting at Peach State Bank.

May 21 - GAL meeting at Peach State Bank, third floor, 12:00 noon. Awards presentation for Summer GAL Juried Show. The GAL Exhibition will hang from May 21 through August 17.

June 18 - GAL meeting at Peach State Bank, third floor, 12:00 noon.

July 16 - GAL meeting at Peach State Bank, third floor, 12:00 noon.

August 17 - Peach State Bank artwork changeout. Bring 1 to 2 new pieces of work that have not previously been shown at the bank to the third floor from 10:00 to 2:00. The show will hang at the bank through through December 10.

August 17 - Artwork submission for GAL Fall Juried Show at the Quinlan. Submit 1 to 3 pieces of artwork from 10:00 to 2:00 at the Quinlan. $10 entry fee. Awards will be presented at our August 20 meeting at the Quinlan.

August 20 - GAL meeting at the Quinlan, 12:00 noon. Awards for the GAL Fall Juried Show will be presented. The GAL Exhibition will hang from August 20 through November 8.

September 17 - GAL meeting at the Quinlan, 12:00 noon.

October 15 - GAL meeting at the Quinlan, 12:00 noon.

November 9 - Artwork submission for GAL Winter Juried Show at the Quinlan. Submit 1 to 3 pieces of artwork from 10:00 to 2:00 at the Quinlan. $10 entry fee. Awards will be presented at our November 12 meeting at the Quinlan.

November 12 - GAL meeting at the Quinlan, 12:00 noon. NOTE: This meeting is on the second Thursday of the month. Awards for the GAL Winter Show will be presented. The GAL Winter Exhibition will hang from November 12 through January 17, 2010.

December 10 - GAL meeting, artwork changeout, and holiday luncheon at Peach State Bank, third floor, 12:00 noon. NOTE: This meeting is on the second Thursday of the month. More details to follow at a later date.

January 22, 2010 - Georgia - Gallery of Gardens. The Hall County Master Gardeners are hosting the state meeting in Gainesville. There will be a reception and exhibition of garden-related art.
