Entry Fee: Quinlan: $10.00 for up to three works of art, created within the last two years, and not previously displayed at the Quinlan. Note: There is no fee to enter the Peach State Bank exhibitions, unless otherwise noted.

Eligibility: You must be a member of The Georgia Art League who is also a member of the Quinlan.

Paintings: Oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, mixed media

Drawings: Graphics, serigraphs

Sculpture and Crafts: Weaving, pottery, enamel, jewelry, glasswork

Photography

Works must be original: Original implies its definition. No copies of magazine photos or other works in print, including advertising are allowed. If work is created from a photo, the photo must be that of the artist (or used with the permission of the photographer/copyright holder). No works from commercial molds or decoupage are permitted. All works should be of highest quality and in good taste.

Entries must be original in concept, composition, and execution. Any works created in a classroom environment are not eligible. Copies of master works or any artwork created under the supervision of an instructor are not eligible. Artwork must not be copied, in part or wholly, from any published or copyrighted work. Prints are not acceptable.

Size: Due to limited hanging space, if a work is larger in any dimension than 48 inches, the artist is limited to one submission.

Framing: All framed work MUST be wired for hanging (securely and not too tightly). Sawtooth hangers are not allowed. Wrap-around canvases must be stapled on the back with side edges painted. All works on paper must be matted or floated and protected by glass or plexiglass.

The following are unacceptable: bracket-held glass, sawtooth hangers, slipping wire brackets, side-stapled canvases without frames. Be sure your frame is in excellent shape – no chips or broken corners.

Identify artwork on the back: Artist’s name, title of work, medium.

Price: The artist must set the value of the work – or indicate NFS (not for sale). The Quinlan Gift shop will handle all sales, with 40% of the sale going to the Quinlan Visual Arts Center and 60% going to the artist. The Quinlan will collect sales tax on all works sold through the Quinlan. Note: There are no commissions on exhibitions at Peach State Bank, unless otherwise noted.

Work should remain at the exhibition location for the duration of the show, unless sold. Accepted work may only be displayed once at the Quinlan.

Awards: The judge will be announced for each show and will select the artwork to be displayed in the show. The judge will give the awards for the show. First Place will be awarded a blue ribbon, Second Place a red ribbon, and Third Place a white ribbon. First, second, and third places will also receive a cash award. Up to five Honorable Mentions can be awarded at the judge's discretion. Honorable Mentions will receive green ribbons. Award ribbons become the property of the artist and will be placed on the award-winning work for the duration of the show.

Miscellaneous: All work submitted for the show that has not been accepted, should be picked up within one week. Any work rejected in a show may be submitted in any future show. Winners will be announced at the monthly meeting following the judging of the artwork.
