MISSION:
The mission of The Georgia Art League is to support the growth and development of our members by providing opportunities to increase their skills and share their understanding and knowledge of visual arts through exhibition experience, a variety of educational programs, and networking with other artists.


Message from the President
Welcome as we move into The Georgia Art League's FIFTH YEAR! Established in October 2005, we now have over 115 active members. I am very excited to be a part of this great, growing organization of artists whose diverse talents range from painting, photography, sculpture, cloisonné, colored pencil, and more.

Take a moment to read our mission statement, and I think you'll see we really do live up to it! As we individually grow in art, our Georgia Art League membership is enriched as a whole. 2010 is shaping up to offer some exciting educational programs and even more opportunities for exhibitions.

We have four exhibitions each scheduled for the Quinlan Visual Arts Center and Peach State Bank & Trust. Go to 2010 Calendar of Events to see our 2010 Calendar.

In addition, we also have a fabulous opportunity to showcase our works in a Regional Exhibition: Spring Salon 2010. There are NO commissions taken from sales at this event, and it is being advertised widely. The exhibition will hang at Peach State Bank from April 22 through May 28. Go to Spring Salon 2010 to see the artists and works accepted into the Salon.

I appreciate more than I can say the support of all of you who are active in The Georgia Art League. YOU are The Georgia Art League and it takes every one of you to make it work! I look forward an exciting year of showcasing our enormously talented Georgia Art League members!

Membership Dues are $10 annually (January 1 - December 31) payable to The Art League. You must also be a current member of the Quinlan Visual Arts Center. Click on Membership for additional information on joining The Georgia Art League.

Meetings and Programs are held on the third Thursday of each month from 12:00 noon until 1:00pm at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center, Gainesville, GA, unless otherwise noted on the calendar of events. Bring a sack lunch.

Studio Time is available every Thursday from 10:00am until 4:00pm in the downstairs Classrooms at the Quinlan, unless a workshop has been scheduled. Click on Studio Time Guidelines for additional information.

Juried Exhibitions are held every three months. Accepted artwork is displayed at the Quinlan in the studio level galleries. Each member can submit 1 to 3 works of art to be juried. The entry fee is $10 for the show and ribbons and cash awards are presented to First, Second, and Third place winners. Honorable Mentions each receive a ribbon.
